Judged numerically rather than head to head. Because every performance earns a number, athletes get a precise read on their execution — and can track their own progress by comparing scores from one tournament to the next. New for 2026, Sport Poomsae is open to color belts as well as black belts. Competitors eligible for both Sport and Traditional Poomsae choose one — not both.
Forms are drawn for each age division and gender from that division's own compulsory pool, so no two brackets perform the same set.

Color belts compete in the same age brackets as black belt (Youth 10–11 through Over 65), split by gender. The difference: the designated forms are fixed by belt rank — every competitor of a given belt performs the same forms, whatever their age or gender. Each belt performs one designated form per round; the semi final and final are always different, and the preliminary may repeat one of them.
