Entry fees are not refundable. Please read this before you pay — it explains what that covers, and what happens when a division changes.
All applications and fees are non-refundable. Once your registration is accepted, your entry fee is not returned — including if you withdraw, change your mind, are injured before the event, or do not attend on the day.
This applies to athlete entry fees, fees for additional divisions, and coach pass fees alike.
All divisions are subject to change. If fewer than four athletes enter a weight division, the organizing committee may combine weight divisions so the division can still run.
Being moved into a combined division is not grounds for a refund — your entry still competes.
World Class black belt competitors who do not make weight on their second attempt are moved up or down to the next weight division. Competitors in divisions with no weigh-in who cannot make the weight they registered for will be disqualified rather than moved, and no fee is returned.
Enter your weight honestly — deliberately falsifying it also risks disqualification.
Entry fees are non-refundable, but that does not cover what happens if the tournament itself cannot take place — severe weather, a venue closure, or an emergency. The tournament director is finalizing this policy, and it will be published here before registration closes.

If a division still cannot run after combining — a single entrant with nobody to face — it is held as an exhibition match. The sole entrant is automatically awarded first place in that division.
They may also choose to compete in the exhibition against an athlete from a slightly higher or lower belt, weight or age division, so they still get their match on the day.
Because the athlete still competes and still places, this is not grounds for a refund.
Switching a division, adding a division, or passing an entry to another athlete from your school is handled case by case. The tournament director is finalizing these rules, and they will be published here before registration closes.
If you need to change an entry, contact us at [email protected] — entry fees remain non-refundable either way.
